Ox Gallstones the United States

Gallstones are bile stones that form in the gallbladder, the organ that stores and concentrates bile.

Normally, they do not cause symptoms or need treatment. However, when they block an opening (duct) in the gallbladder, they can cause a sudden and intense pain called biliary colic.

This pain is sometimes so severe that it causes a person to become very unwell and can lead to complications such as pancreatitis.

About Us

The United States has a large cattle industry and is the world’s largest producer of ox gallstones. These stones are harvested from cattle’s intestines and extracted from the bile during the abattoir phase of processing. After extraction they are washed with cold water to remove blood clots, impurities etc and dried. They are then packaged in hermetically sealed bags.

Ox gallstones, also known as calculus bovis or bezoars, have been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for over two thousand years. They were first recorded in Shen Nong’s Herbal Classic during the Qin (221-206 BCE) and the Western Han Dynasties (206 BCE-25 CE).

Gallstones are formed when too much cholesterol or bile salts form in the gallbladder. They can also be formed when bile does not empty properly and accumulates in the gallbladder or when a gallstone becomes lodged in a duct leading to the liver. In these cases, symptoms include pain in the gallbladder, vomiting, nausea, and fever.

They can also cause other serious health problems if they are not removed quickly, such as cholecystitis or pancreatitis. These conditions can cause severe pain, jaundice, and vomiting.

In addition, they can be the cause of long-term complications such as cirrhosis (scarring of the liver). There is no cure for these conditions.

These gallstones can be a significant health risk for some people, especially women who are more likely to develop the disease than men. However, most people who develop gallstones do not have any symptoms at all.

The gallbladder is a small, hollow organ that stores and concentrates bile before it is released into the intestines. The bile is made of cholesterol, water, and bile salts. Normally, bile flows through the common bile duct and into the intestines. A side branch called the cystic duct also collects and concentrates bile before it is passed out of the body.

Gallstones are caused by too much cholesterol, too little bile salts, or too much bilirubin. They are found in nearly 20 million Americans and can occur in both men and women at any age. They can be painful, but are usually not dangerous.

There’s a lot going on with cow gallstones these days. Aside from the fact that they’re a great source of cash, they’re also worth a fortune in traditional Chinese medicine. They’re used to help treat hepatitis, heart disease and liver problems, but they also come with a few other benefits: bilirubin is a powerful antioxidant that helps fight off COVID-19.

And as long as the Chinese government pushes for interest in bilirubin-based medicines, there’s no sign that gallstone prices will be dropping any time soon. That’s because gallstones are so rare: they only form in the gallbladder of a bovine and are retrieved at the abattoir during bile extraction on the eviscera table, so there isn’t enough supply to support the high price tag.

But Sunshine Trading, a Brisbane-based family business, isn’t letting that stop them from raking in some 200 kilograms of bovine gallstones every year. The company, whose name comes from the word “sun” in Chinese, now deals with more than 50 abattoirs around Australia and has a nationwide monopoly on the white market–meaning that they’re the only ones buying them on a regular basis.

Founded by Gerard, Sunshine’s business model involves buying a small amount of cattle each day at the local abattoir–which they do at a discount to the wholesale price–and then storing them for up to two months in one of their stainless steel vaults. This means that they can sell them on the grey market for a much higher price than the abattoirs themselves would be able to.

Gallstones are small crystalline deposits found in the gall bladder of cattle, most commonly in older slaughter animals. They form when the liver bile gets sluggish, and are usually extracted from the gall bladder during a process called evisceration at the abattoir.

But despite being a discarded byproduct of the slaughter process, cow gallstones can be hugely valuable on the white market. The value of a single cricket ball-sized stone, for instance, can easily be worth a thousand dollars USD. But that’s a drop in the bucket for some of Australia’s biggest abattoirs, which slaughter thousands of cattle a week.

The price that slaughterhouses are willing to pay for a gallstone has soared in recent years, thanks in part to China’s nationalistic push for its production as a medicinal product. The Chinese government has made it a priority to promote the use of bilirubin-based medicines in the treatment of cancer and other diseases, and the gallstone market has responded favourably to this push.

As the prices of gallstones have risen, so has the interest in buying them from slaughterhouses and farmers around the world. A lot of the selling and buying now takes place online on darknet marketplaces, or on private Facebook groups.

In some cases, buyers will purchase the whole ox bladder, which is then dehydrated and stored for long periods of time before being shipped overseas. In such cases, the risk of breakage in transit is high. The safest option is to keep the ox bladder dry and securely wrapped in tissues or inside an egg carton before shipping.

This will ensure that the ox bladder is intact and ready for transport, so the ox’s body has a chance to rehydrate the gallstones once they reach their destination. That’s why it’s important to take all the precautionary measures possible before sending gallstones to buyers.

Sunshine Trading is a family business that has been in the gallstone business for over 30 years. They’re the reason almost every abattoir in Australia now has a padlocked box with stainless steel vaults over the gutting table where gutties can store and retrieve stones for their lockbox.

Gallstones are the hard crystalline masses formed in the gallbladder or in bile ducts by digestive fluids like bile pigments, calcium and cholesterol. They are generally retrieved at an abattoir during the bile extraction phase of the beef production cycle.

These amorphous lumps of digestive fluid are found to be highly valuable in Chinese herbal medicine, where they are known as ox bezoars (calculus bovis). According to Shen Nong’s Herbal Classic, ox gallstones have been a superior therapeutic drug for two thousand years in TCM, with the belief that it can help to cure many diseases, including a variety of childhood disorders.

There are several methods for removing gallstones. One of the most common is surgery called cholecystectomy. Another method is oral dissolution therapy, which uses medications like ursodiol and chenodiol to dissolve gallstones. A third way is to use shock wave lithotripsy. Lithotripsy is most effective when it involves cholesterol stones.

You can also have a test that shows if you have gallstones in your bile ducts. Your doctor may do this by doing an MRI of your gallbladder and the ducts in your liver or by using a procedure called MRCP. MRCP is non-invasive, and can give your health care professional more information about the bile ducts in your liver.

The most common and most effective treatment for gallstones is a surgical procedure called cholecystectomy. This is a major abdominal operation in which the gallbladder is removed and the bile is sucked into the small intestine. This can be done by a surgeon through an incision or by a surgeon who is trained to perform a laparoscopic cholecystectomy.

When you visit your health care provider to find out if you have gallstones, they will ask you about your symptoms and other medical history. They may also do tests that check your bile ducts for blockages, such as ultrasound. A CAT scan can also be used to find out if you have a blockage.

If you have gallstones that cause symptoms, your health care provider will recommend treatment. This usually includes a combination of pain medicine and dietary changes, but it may include other treatments like surgery or a chemical shot that is injected through the skin into the gallbladder to break up or remove the stones. You will need to see your doctor before the treatments can begin, and afterward to make sure everything is OK.
