Ox Gallstones Seychelles

During the natural breakdown of red blood cells, a substance called bilirubin is produced. This can build up in the gallbladders of cattle, oxen and bison and form biliary calculi, or gallstones: hardened deposits that block the ducts and cause inflammation and pain if not removed.

For years, abattoirs have been able to turn gallstones into a lucrative byproduct. And now that the Chinese government has pushed interest in bilirubin-based medicines, the price has skyrocketed.

Natural Gallstones

The gall bladder is a sac-like organ in the upper right part of the abdomen. It contains bile, a fluid made by the liver to help digest fats. Excess bilirubin in the bile can cause gallstones to form. The stones are usually yellowish green in color and range from small to large in size.

There are a number of ways to treat gallstones at home. The first is to drink plenty of water and eat foods that are low in cholesterol. The second is to take vitamin C supplements.

These supplements are effective in preventing gallstone formation and also improve digestion and liver health. They also help in dissolving gallstones and removing them from the body.

Another effective way to prevent gallstones is by consuming lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. These are high in fiber, which helps in reducing the amount of cholesterol in your gallbladder. You should also avoid fatty foods and sugary snacks, as these can lead to the development of stones.

Other natural remedies for gallstones include drinking dandelion tea, which helps in stimulating the flow of bile. It also helps in reducing inflammations and pain.

Taking black radish juice regularly can also be an effective remedy for gallstones as it is packed with substances that prevent cholesterol from accumulating in the gallbladder. In addition, it can also decrease the fat in your liver and increase its capacity to process bile.

If you suffer from gallstones, it is recommended to start by avoiding high-fat foods, such as red meat, oily fish, butter, and dairy products. It is also important to keep a check on your intake of alcohol and sugary beverages.

Consuming aloe vera juice and extract is also an effective home remedy for gallstones. The herb can be consumed by blending it with water or milk and taking it daily.

Ayurvedic herbs like Punarnava (Boerhavia diffusa) and Aarogyavardhini vati are also helpful in curing this problem as they balance the vata, pitta, and kapha energies and help to get rid of gall stone problems. You can take a capsule of these herbs two times in a day with plain water after meals.

Artificial Gallstones

The bile in the gallbladder stores a mixture of cholesterol, water, bile salts and pigments. Various conditions that affect the balance of these components can cause gallstones to form. These conditions include high cholesterol diets, liver cirrhosis, certain blood disorders and diseases that narrow the bile ducts (Tanaja 2018; Mayo Clinic 2017).

In some cases, the stones can get out of the gallbladder and into the small intestine. When this happens, they can block the flow of bile and cause acute pain or inflammation. In rare cases, the gallstones can get into other organs, such as the liver or pancreas.

Cholesterol stones – These are the most common type of gallstones. They are made of excess cholesterol that is not broken down by the acids in bile. Other types of gallstones are made of bilirubin, a yellowish pigment in the bile that is produced when red blood cells break down.

When a large amount of bilirubin is in the bile, it can solidify into a stone. Usually this is due to an imbalance of the ratio of bilirubin to cholesterol in the bile. Other conditions such as liver cirrhosis and certain blood disorders can also lead to excess bilirubin in the bile, which can then solidify into gallstones.

Pigment stones – These are the least common types of gallstones, but they can occur as well. These are made of bilirubin and other yellow pigments in the bile that are not completely broken down by the acids in the bile. They can also form when there is excess bilirubin in the ducts of the gallbladder or when a bacterial or parasitic infection has affected the bile ducts.

Besides being dangerous, these gallstones can be difficult to remove by surgical means. In addition, these stones can become hard and prevent the bile from draining properly. This can result in painful infections, jaundice or other complications such as pancreatitis and inflammation of the ducts that carry bile from the liver to the small intestine.

These artificial gallstones can be used to dissolve existing gallstones, or to help prevent them from forming in the future. The main advantage of this method is that it can be performed safely, without surgery or other risks.

Supply and Demand

There’s been a lot of buzz about gallstones since Monday’s news that a Queensland meat worker was caught on CCTV dropping one into his boot. Some have even speculated that they could be worth up to $20,000 a kilogram.

But the truth is that cattle gallstones, or ‘ox bezoars’ (calculus bovis), are incredibly rare. According to one of Australia’s biggest dealers in the commodity, they only produce around 200kg per year.

Despite their rare status, gallstones have been used in Chinese medicine for over two thousand years. They are a precious Chinese herbal medicine, usually harvested from cattle’s gallbladders without any special processing, then dried to remove all moisture before being sold at the retail level in either their natural form or as proprietary Chinese medicines mixed with other ingredients.

In Chinese medical literature, ox gallstones are referred to as “Yi Du Gong Du,” meaning “cure the poison with poison.” They were a popular treatment for hepatobiliary diseases such as jaundice, liver disease, and high fever in both adults and children, and have been promoted for this purpose since Li Shi-Zhen’s Compendium of Materia Medica in 1596 CE.

They are also believed to ward off poison in the stomach, kidneys, lungs and other parts of the body. And, they’re often claimed to be able to absorb poison through ion exchange.

But, as Gerard explains, this isn’t true: “In fact, they are not as potent as they were in the past.” He went on to note that these ancient medicinal treatments weren’t just about treating symptoms–they were also believed to ward off the dangers of toxins and pathogens.

This is why so many traditional Chinese herbalists are still using ox bezoars–and why so many sticky-fingered meat workers like Troy, Andy and the others we spoke to are lining up to make a killing from them.

Aside from the obvious hepatobiliary benefits, they’re said to be good for the heart and immune system. They’re also a good source of calcium, which is a known anti-inflammatory and a potent antioxidant.

This makes them a highly prized Chinese herbal remedy, which is why they’re so sought after. They are often sold as a proprietary Chinese medicine or mixed with other ingredients to treat a variety of conditions.
